UPDATE: All Adults Now Eligible for Vaccination

All adults in Texas are now eligible for a Covid-19 vaccination. The State of Texas has initiated a new sign up system and more providers are receiving vaccines.

New Statewide Scheduling System

The state's new website for scheduling is:

https://getthevaccine.dshs.texas.gov/

This site will look for available sign-up slots with several providers and will schedule based on your preferences and vaccine availability.  When scheduling in your area is not possible, it will suggest other providers farther away. When you reach the site, you may be put in a queue to start your registration.   You will see a message like this:

"You are now in line. Thanks for your patience.  Your wait time is 7 minutes"

When we tested the site this morning we found that the wait was not long.  See this KXAN article for more details.

Other Providers Ramping Up

Many other providers will be receiving vaccines this week but their web sites may not let you register until appointment start becoming available.  Providers in Travis and Williamson County include: HEB, Austin Regional Clinic, Seton, Walgreens, Randalls and various clinics.  For a complete list see:
